A really easy and fun way to raise money is to gather together a bunch of people, make arrangements with a bus company, and go to a casino.
Fostoria took a group to Greektown in Detroit in October of 2004. The tickets were sold for $25.00. Each person, on arrival, received $20.00 in chips in the casino... so the net cost for the bus trip was $5.00! One bus full netted our club over 1000.00 when all expenses were paid. And there were many things to do if one did not want to gamble. Greektown is an historic neighborhood with lots of Greek restaurants, a wonderful old Greek church, and the public rail transport that circles Detroit's downtown stops at the casino. |
