Newark-Granville Scholarship Award Dinner |
The Newark-Granville Altrusa club held it’s annual Scholarship Award dinner, Monday, May 10, 2010. Taylor Ann Besch, a senior at Lakewood High School and Mariyah A. Lowe, a senior at Licking Valley High School, were the recipients of a $500 scholarship each. President, Ruth Dial, and Vice-President elect Carol Duval presented the scholarships. Carol donates one of the scholarships every year in memory of her mother, Doris Hodges, who was an active member of the club. Washington Court House - Coats for Kids |
THE ALTRUSA CLUB OF WASHINGTON C.H. is conducting its 19th Annual "COATS FOR KIDS" drive to collect gently used winter coats for area children in need. As in the past, Hats and gloves will also be provided.
On November 19, 2007 from 9:00 until 1:00 the coats will be distributed at the St. Andrews Episcopal church.
